It's been 3 years since the premier of AMC's, The Walking Dead, a
horror drama based on a comic book series, written by a man named
Robert Kirkman. It's the story of a small group of people who have
(so far) survived a zombie apocalypse! They are working together to
find a place in the world where they can live safely and somehow, try
to regain life as human beings without always looking over their
shoulders. Since October 31st, 2010, the show has sky rocketed in
popularity as well as awards and by 2012, received 12.4 million
viewers, making it the most viewed television series in history!
Season 3 left off with it's main character, Rick Grimes, (played by Andrew Lincoln) leading a
group of survivors to an abandoned prison. There, they take shelter for the
time being before they head back out into the world to find a better
and safer place to live. Many people were lost along the way and the
villain of the show, who they called the "Governor," is
nowhere to be found after murdering his own people.
Season 4 will premier on October 13th, 2013 and will consist of 16
episodes. This already, has viewers talking! Here, at our little
school in Bismarck, ND, even the University of Mary students are
talking about the Walking Dead and what season 4 will bring us. Will
more beloved characters be tragically lost? Will new ones be
introduced so we can fall in love all over again? Will the characters
we've been following find a home at last? No one knows but we are
anxious to find out.
Even the people who haven't seen the show, have at least heard
it's name. If you're one of those people, we recommend you take a
peek at the season 4 premier and tell us what you think! Maybe you
could even go back to the first episode of the first season just to
take a look at how this widely spoken of series began. Who knows? You
might just find it to be a new favorite.
